GIFT is a resource for the extended community, offering innovative programs on racial and cultural sensitivity, acceptance of diversity, and conflict resolution. GIFT collaborates with other organizations who share our ideals.

Our services are offered to private and public school systems, colleges and universities, law enforcement departments, government and private institutions, and other interested groups.

GIFT has two primary goals. These goals are to:

• Eradicate racism and intercultural bias and to foster the healing process needed by our society today
• Furnish tools for coping and overcoming prejudice and discrimination as we encounter it in the lives of our families.

We understand that racism is a serious, active, prolonged, and deep-rooted condition. Thus GIFT offers, to all who join, a safe forum where honest and frank dialogue can occur. With this free expression, we seek mutual understanding which can evolve into genuine and sincere friendship.Alliances forged in this manner can evolve into a practical force for social action.

• GIFT provides interracial/intercultural families with the opportunity to discuss the challenges and rewards of parenting multiracial adopted and biological children
• GIFT facilitates discussions of all facets of discrimination in American society today and its impact on our relationships to our children and the world.
• GIFT explores methods of assisting education and other professionals to understand and discuss issues of racial and cultural diversity in classrooms and other child-serving environments.
• GIFT events provide a safe environment in which our children can explore their racial and cultural diversity and discuss their questions and experiences with peers and supportive adults.
• GIFT sponsors and participates in area forums on race, family diversity, and cultural competence, providing important personal insights on these crucial topics.
• GIFT organizes social gatherings where members can relax, share our experiences, and learn from the experiences of others.
